Firefighters responded to this three-alarm blaze at the former S.Bent & Brothers on Mill Street. The fire in the old furniture factory office building started in the loading dock area.

Fire Lt. Craig Osowski said the fire was called in the station by the Police 911 around 10:22pm. First arriving companies found fire from all five loading docks and through the roof. At this time a 2nd and 3rd alarms were sounded bringing in all off duty and call firefighters along with mutual aid to the scene. The fire was contained mostly in the loading dock area of the complex. Fire officials had said the building was inhabited by homeless people over the years. The building was founded in 1867 where five spindle chairs were produced. The Factory was closed in 2001. The fire marshals office was called in to help with the investigation.
