The fire at this address on Riversedge Rd came in and a 2nd alarm was struck leaving the firehouse. On arrival heavy fire and smoke was showing from the A/D side of the dwelling.
Dealing with hot weather and difficult conditions, firefighters spent hours putting out the flames and hot spots that popped up.
“When the engines and ladder got here, they couldn’t make it past the street,” said Chief Robert Cole. “The flames were coming across the street. They couldn’t even get to the hydrant right in front of the house.” The fire is under investigation at this time.
