Arrived a little late to this fire at 76 Tupper Rd at the Captains Scott's Seafood Restaurant. The report stated the call came in around 0527 hrs with smoke coming from the back of the building. Firefighters arrived 2 minutes after the 911 Companies had fire from the back and basement. It was found after that a gas regulator for the building had burned off causing a gas leak that may have feed fire that burned for sometime. After it was under control an excavator had to peel apart the building. Mutual aid from surrounding towns of Bourne, Plymouth, West Barnstable, Cotuit, Barnstable, Joint Base, Centerville-Osterville-Marston Mills,Wareham,Onset and Hyannis. Mashpee covered their Station 3 in Forestdale.
