After just picking up from a chimney fire, another call came in reporting a house fire at the corner of Highland & Chestnut. On arrival heavy smoke was pushing from the 2nd floor of the home.
Mutual aid was called and the following responded, Leominster sent an Engine and Ladder, Fitchburg Engine, Townsend Engine and a Shirley Engine. Heavy smoke was pushing from the eves as firefighters made an aggressive attack. One minor injry was reported. The fire was under control in 45 minutes.
