In the mid afternoon heard a lot of chatter on the scanner. A fire in the Town of Bolton with alot of mutual aid moving up and too the fire. I left right away and on my arrival fire was burning along the eves of the home when the loss of water happened. As firefighters worked extremely hard to get more water the fire took off burning right through the garage and was threatening a 5th wheel trailer in the driveway. The fire quickly took full control of the 2 1/2 story wood barn with autos inside. The fire was so intense that the light bar on Hudson Tower ladder melted and the front windshield shattered. Firefighters were able to make a stop about half way through the house. A few firefighters were treated for heat exhaustion as the temps were in the high 80s. Mutual aid from Hudson, Berlin, Marlborough, Stow, Boxborough, Lancaster, Maynard, Harvard were at the fire along with the State Fire Academy re-hab truck. Other local departments (Leominster 1st time since 1965) and Sterling went to the fire and Devens covered the firehouse. The house was built in 1725
