Not much explaining here. Shortly before 1500 hrs Box 1579 was struck for a fire in the 200 block of Beacon St quickly went to 9 alarms. Along the way Lt Edward J. Walsh Jr. and Firefighter Michael R. Kennedy made the supreme sacrifice. Firefighters on scene made frantic attempts to save them to no avail.

The wind driven blaze quickly took ahold of this brownstone building just off the Charles River and over Storrow Drive.

GOD SPEED boys ! and RIP.

Unable to find the words to express the grief I'm feeling along with all my brothers. Scott, good job getting around the scene and letting us see what the BFD was up against. May the Brothers Rest in Peace!
