Mikey and I just arrived in Boston when Box 2866 was struck for a building fire at 7 Kingsland Road West Roxbury. Engine 30 arrived on scene with fire showing. Moments later District Chief James Loftus ( Car 10 ) arrived and called for a 2nd alarm. With heavy fire conditions Loftus didnt hesitate to quickly strike the 3rd alarm. The initial report was a 2 story home well involved with a live wire down in front of the building. Companies were in defensive operations with slight exposure problems. The fire was knocked down and under control in 30 minutes. It took us almost 20 minutes with traffic to get to the scene from Roxbury. So this is what we saw.
