Arrived late to this fatal fire in Lowell after leaving the airport. I was able to listen on the radio. Lowell firefighters to no avail made a valiant attempt to rescue a 3 year old boy trapped in this fire. Once he was found CPR was initiated as he was taken to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries. Heavy smoke and fire on arrival of this 2 1/2 story stucco dwelling where frozen hydrants and or buried hydrants played a roll in getting more water. 3 others were hurt including 1 firefighter.
Lowell brothers gave it their all.
