Around 2330 hrs Fitchburg Firefighters were dispatched to a building fire at the end of Crocker Terrace. On arrival, heavy fire had pretty much consumed the 2 story building. Acting Deputy Chief Greg Normandin called for a 2nd alarm bringing an Engine and Ladder from Leominster to the scene.
The fire was burning intensely as firefighters had to establish a water supply after using tank water by laying a line by hand up to the pump due to the area of the fire. Leominsters Engine was used to check for brand control before reporting to the scene for manpower.
The fire is suspicous and is being investigated by the department and local Police.
