Got the page for this fire but didn't know the job had been in for a good hour. So off Mike and I went. We really didn't see much but did take some action shots anyways. The fire had burned the roof off of a 2-story mill building right downtown in front of the firehouse. There was a 4 story mill around the complex also. There was a lot of mutual aid from surrounding towns. The one truck that shocked me was a Ladder truck from Brattleboro Vt. I was told it took them 45 minutes to get to the fire. Some of the towns we saw: Barre, Royalston, Gill, Greenfield, Northfield, Shutesbury, Athol, Montague, Tuner Falls, Warwick, Petersham and Brattleboro Vt.
