Call for a fire at 17852 Normandeau St E 20 first to arrive had smoke showing from the dwelling. Firefighters gained entry and found a dog and were able to get it outside and giving it some CPR and O2 were able to resuscitate the animal an then turned over to someone possibly a family member. Other firefighters continued searching the dwelling where they found a male victim inside. They were able to get him outside where they quickly began life saving measures, but the victim was unresponsive and was not viable.
Firefighters made a final sweep and were able to knock the fire down.
The fire is under investigation at this time.
Condolences go out the family for their loss.
