This fire broke out at 48 Holt St shortly around 0930hrs. Smoke was showing from the firehouse upon pulling out of the bay doors.
One woman was trapped up in the smoke on the top floor of this 2 1/2 story dwelling requiring firefighters to take her down via a ground ladder. Several animals, including chickens, doves and a parrot were also removed. The call had come in as smoke in the building.
According to Deputy Chief Marrama, a nearby work crew attempted to set up a ladder to get the woman out as firefighters arrived.
